History[]
Leah and her girlfriend, Sheri Gillard, were caught making a sex tape by Sheri's mother, Kerri Gillard. Kerri was angry and called Leah's stepmother, Liz Danvers. Liz picked Leah up and Lectured her about the sex tape on her way home. She was angry that Leah didn't consider the possible risks of making the tape, though Leah insisted it was just meant to be for her and Sheri. As they drove, they were nearly in an accident when Stacy Chalmers drove drunk and ran into a pole after sliding on ice.
That night, Leah came to talk to Liz about Stacy's drunk driving and said they never talked about the night Holden died.[1]
Leah was at the ice rink when Liz came in to ask for use of the ice rink to defrost the scientists' bodies. When Liz saw her watching the bodies, she told her to leave. Leah said she was going to Pete's house.
When Liz came to pick Leah up, she was upset to see that Kalik had used marker to put kakiniit on Leah's face. She demanded that Leah clean it off, but Leah refused. At home, Leah looked at herself in the mirror. When she got a text from Sheri saying she was at the store, Leah tried to sneak out downstairs, only to be blocked by Liz, so she went back to her room and went out the window instead. She met up with Sheri and they started making out.[2]
Leah later met up with Sheri again and they went to a meeting of people protesting the mine. When Danvers found out Leah had gone to the meeting, she yelled at her and forced her to remove the kakiniit from her face.[3]
On Christmas Eve, Leah got caught spray painting MURDERERS onto the front of the mining office. She and Danvers got into a fight about it and Leah left to go to the Priors' house, where Kayla and Kalik showed her how to knead dough.[4]
On New Year's Eve, Leah and Sheri painted their faces and went to a protest at the mine. At the protest, Leah was injured in an altercation with a trooper. Instead of helping her, Sheri disappeared into the crowd. Leah was saved when Navarro stepped in to defend her. Navarro then took Leah to the police station, where Danvers insisted on her being booked in.
Pete visited Leah and brought her a drink and a snack. Then they talked about Kayla kicking him out and Leah explained that Kayla just wanted the guy she fell in love with back, because he was such a kind soul. She warned him not to let Danvers ruin that guy.
After Danvers upset Navarro, Navarro opened Leah's cell and let her out. Leah then went to the Prior house, where Danvers showed up. She asked if Leah went to the protest just to mess with her, which Leah denied. Leah said that everything Annie K fought against was still happening. There had been nine stillbirths in three months. Danvers asked Leah to come home for New Year's. Leah didn't reply, but did say she hadn't given up on her.[5]
Leah came to Danvers' place as Danvers had requested, but found only Pete there. Pete told her Danvers had been called away on an emergency and drove Leah back to his place, not wanting Kayla and Darwin to be alone for the holiday and not wanting Leah to walk in the cold. From there, she called Danvers, but got not answer. She left a message asking for Danvers not to die out there.[6]
Months later, Leah and Danvers developed a much stronger relationship. Leah was able to get her kakiniit.[6]
