How to Give Someone a Link to Your Facebook Profile (2024)

Because Facebook is a large social networking site with millions of users, finding someone you want to befriend and communicate with can be a difficult and time-consuming task. If you assign a username to your Facebook profile link, you can direct family and friends to your profile quickly and with ease. When you give someone the link with the username, they can find your profile without using any of the Facebook search tools.

  1. 1.

Go to Facebook and log in to your account.

  2. 2.

Go to the Facebook Username page, then select from any of the suggested usernames. If you don't like any of them, enter one in the open box, then click "Check Availability." If the username is available, you can use it. If it isn't available, keep trying different usernames until Facebook accepts one of them.

  3. 3.

Click the "Check Availability" button when you finally find the username you want to use, then click "Confirm."

  4. 4.

Click your name in the upper right corner to display your profile, write down the URL address in the address bar, then give it your friend.
