Mayur Shree, a real-estate magnate based out of Texas in the USA, is reportedly the only Indian-origin person to own a Bugatti Chiron, according to automobile news site Cartoq. A Dallas News report stated that Shree was the first person in Texas to own a Chiron. Bought in 2018 as a gift for his father, he was quoted in the same report saying he always wanted to pay back the money loaned by his father to start a business, along with a car.
The car evidently holds a lot of sentimental value for Shree, who has posted multiple pictures and videos of the vehicle on his Instagram account. The common hashtag that he has used for these posts involves a wordplay on his name and the car’s name - Shreeron.

A Chiron is estimated to cost at least $3 million or about ₹23 crore, although the price details are not public due to the high customisation associated with each car. Fitted with a massive 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine that generates a maximum power of 1,479 Bhp ( brake horsepower) and a peak torque of 1,600 Nm (Newton-meter), there are possibly a few hundred Chirons in total.
