Kent is such a wonderful little town for families and retired people. It's a great college town with several beginner and advanced job opportunities. The downtown is full of shops and places to eat as well little spots to hang out with friends and family. Having moved up from the south, my experience in Kent has been great.

Overall, Kent is a vibrant and welcoming city with a strong sense of community. It has a variety of amenities, including parks, shops, and restaurants, that cater to a diverse range of interests. The city is also home to several cultural and educational institutions, such as the Kent State University Museum and the Kent Stage, which add to its richness and character.
One thing that stands out about Kent is its commitment to sustainability and the environment. The city has implemented several initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, such as the use of renewable energy sources and the promotion of public transportation.
In terms of accessibility, Kent is well-connected to other parts of Ohio and beyond, with easy access to major highways and public transportation options.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Kent, Ohio for anyone looking for a unique and engaging cultural experience in a welcoming and sustainable environment.

I am a graduate student. I live off-campus and am walking distance from downtown. There is lots to do downtown. I am not from Ohio, and there has been a lot more fun things in the area to do than I anticipated. However, I do live off of a busy street and people are constantly getting pulled over in front of my house at all hours, even in the early morning. Normally this doesn't bother me, but the lights can be annoying. There are also some areas that tend to have trash/glass on the sidewalk.

Kent is a perfect combination of Cleveland suburb and college-town. There is a small but mighty downtown that is always lively with events like farmer's markets, music festivals, or DORA bar crawling. There are great food options from fast food to fancy dinners. I feel safe on my street, and I enjoy the friendliness of my neighbors on Lincoln. The city is very easy to get around.

I would change nothing about Kent, Ohio. I moved here around a year ago and I have adjusted from city life to a more country lifestyle. People here are willing to help you and are very nice.

Downtown Kent is great. It is near the university campus and there are many fun options of restaurants to go to during the weekend. I always go and they are very good. As it is a university town, you also can find many university-related stores (with personalized cups and clothes of the university).

Although Kent is a progressive college town the surrounding areas are historically racist and conservative. It can be seen and felt when dealing with the locals.

Kent is the kindest city I’ve ever been to. I’ve never felt anything negative in my time here in Kent, I’m in love with the architecture and the beautiful homey feel it gives.

Lived here for three years recently moved so I will jump into the nitty gritty, cost to rent here is too high for what you get, night life is terrible unless you are attending kent state uni. Traffic isnt bad but the crime and drugs seem to be worse off here then most. Don't even get me started on the officers the constant traffic stops when school is in gets old. And you may find yourself pulled over regularly for wellness checks but I think the worst part is how it is a 40min drive from practically anything not super run down so get use to driving route 76. Nicer areas wold include Cuyohuga, Hudson, Eastlake, Westlake and Streetsboro areas and cost about the same for rent.

Kent is nice town. Over the years it has been a nice place to live. It is fairly quiet, clean and safe for a college town.

I love the community and all the things there are to do around the area. I have been here for the past four years and I am still always finding new things or there are being new things added.

Really awesome place. Lots to do. Feel very safe. I wish places other than nightlife were open later, but the nightlife is great! Downtown Kent is super cute and fun! Kent is also not too far of a drive from anything in the Cleveland/Akron area.

I like Kent for the location near Cleveland, but also the evening life. In Kent, there is a free bus service for students and community members. Most locations are walkable or have a bus stop near them so it makes it super easy to get places.

The city of Kent is filled with quaint small businesses that provide a small city environment. The college brings young, vibrant life to the city. There are lots of small parks and biking/walking paths that provide space for outdoor recreational activities. There are a large variety of restaurants and bars so you can find almost anything you are craving. The city hosts a farmers market during the summer and there are live bands by the river as well. It is a clean city with a welcoming community.

Only nice if you enjoy looking at roadside litter everywhere you turn. It is very noticible when you drive into Kent from surrounding communities. This problem gets worse every year. The housing is largely old and crumbling as well. The only areas where the city shows some pride is the campus and downtown areas. The rest is a neglected trash dump.
