COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — According to the National Grid Power Outage Map, thousands were being impacted by power outages. There were outages in many counties in the Capital Region.
National Grid gave an update on Sunday morning in regards to the power outages, saying the hardest hit counties were Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady. As of Monday morning, most of these outages have been restored, with only about 10,000 outages reported on the outage map.
National Grid reports that the rest of the outages should be restored by 11:30 p.m. on Monday with more isolated outages lasting into Tuesday. National Grid asks anyone who sees downed power lines to report them to (800) 867-5222 or by calling 911.
