How can I get a Pakistani ID card from overseas? ›

Overseas Pakistanis can apply for their ID cards from their homes at https://id.nadra.gov.pk. In addition, NADRA has launched 24/7 online/web chat service to guide and facilitate online applicants at the URL https://www.messenger.com/t/nadrapakidentity.

Can I get my CNIC online? You can apply for your Smart National Identity Card (SNIC) by visiting Pak Identity website and have it delivered to your doorstep. You can not apply for fresh/new CNIC from website.

Tracking your application

Click the "NICOP / POC Tracking" link on this website and use 10 digit Application Tracking ID printed on top right corner of your receipt received from NADRA office. You can also call NADRA Call* Centre Islamabad directly at +92 51 111 786 100 to check the status of your application.

“The card delivery and printing timelines depend on the application type selected. For the Normal category, the printing time of the card is approximately 31 days after approval by the case officer. Similarly, printing time for urgent and executive categories is approximately 23 and 7 working days respectively.

First of all, you need to visit the Pak Identity website of NADRA. Now, navigate to somewhere in the middle of the page, where you'll see a dedicated section for online fingerprint verification with a few blank fields. Enter the required information including your CNIC number and the date of its issuance.

If you want to verify a CNIC with NADRA, click 'Verisys Services'. You will need to have some balance in your account to verify a CNIC at the NADRA CNIC Verification portal or avail any other services. So, on the next screen, you will be asked to top up your account using your credit/debit card.

NICOP is an official identification document for Pakistani Citizens working / living abroad. NICOP can be produced for personal identification in place of Computerized NIC (CNIC) within Pakistan and abroad. The card is supposed to be produced at domestic or international entry or exit terminals.

Smart National Identity Card for overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) Apply for this card if you are a Pakistani citizen living abroad or a dual nationality holder. Children of Pakistani nationals or dual-nationality holders are also eligible for applying this card.

Valid Pakistani Passport or valid foreign passport. For changing marital status, applicant will require to produce Nikkah Nama / Marriage Certificate. For changing marital status as divorced / widow, the applicant will require to produce divorce/death certificate of his/her spouse.
