Cadaretta Ruby Beck 1933 — 2024 Mrs. Ruby Helen Marter Beck, 90, of Cadaretta, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born December 18, 1933 in Webster County to A.J. and Willie Mae Clanton Marter. Mrs. Beck was the definition of a dedicated homemaker and took great pride in making her house a home. She was a skilled seamstress as well as a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed working in her yard and vegetable garden. Mrs. Beck was a devoted member of Philadelphia Baptist Church Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Martin Jacks and Bro. He was born along with his twin brother, Earl Beck, January 4, 1931 to John and Clara Beck of the Spring Hill Community in Webster County. Mr. Beck honorably served our country in the US Army while stationed at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina during the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruby Helen Marter on March 3, 1951. They were married for 72 years. Early in life, he worked as a farmer. He later went on to work for McQuay and Heatcraft in Grenada retiring as the Quality Control Supervisor after 35 years of service. Mr. Beck... She was born December 6, 1945 in French Camp to Beryl and Iva Love Strain Thomas. A devoted homemaker, Sherry will long be remembered as a wonderful mother and "Nana". She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada and was active in the JOY Sunday school class. Sherry enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and always loved to cook and share her wonderful food with those she loved.
