New York takes first place
Henley & Partners clarifies that a "millionaire" is a "individual with liquid assets that can be invested of one million dollars or more". With this definition and its data, the consulting firm has established that one in 74 residents in Paris and Île-de-France is a millionaire. At the top of the list, we find New York with a whopping 349,500 millionaires for every 8.26 inhabitants in 2023. A crazy increase of 48% in 10 years for the Big Apple! The American city is closely followed by The Bay Area in the San Francisco region, Tokyo, Singapore, London, Los Angeles, and then Paris.
