Fairy Rings
Introduction
Fairy rings are objects scattered around Gielinor which allow players to teleport between 38 different locations. Using fairy rings requires partial completion of Fairy Tale II, specifically when the Fairy Godfather grants you access to them.
In order to use a fairy ring you must have either a Dramen staff or Lunar staff equipped. The main fairy ring is located in Zanaris, south-west of the wheat field. Using any fairy ring outside of Zanaris will bring you here.
Special mention: When you tp to a Fairy Ring and don't move, you can avoid getting aggro from any hostile monster in the area. While you're on the center tile of the fairy ring you can eat/drink something, change equipment, talk, and move the camera. The moment you move off it you will gain aggro even if you return to the center of the ring.
You can also attack something while standing on the center tile, but you'll just gain the aggro of the one monster you're attacking.
Quick Fairy ring access
- Teleport to Edgeville via an amulet of glory, or on Ancients. Run east across the bridge and then run south to the ring along the river.
- Using an ectophial, run west towards the farm patches, then run south of them to reach a fairy ring.
- If you have a house at Yanille, cast home teleport. Step out of the portal and run west out of the town gates. The fairy ring is a short distance north.
- Use the POH Kharyrll (Canifis) portal, run out of the pub and go west past the mushroom farming location to find the fairy ring.
- Teleport to Ardougne, run north-east towards the Legends Guild. The fairy ring is just to the the east of the guild's gates.
Combinations
When using the Zanaris fairy ring you'll be prompted to choose a combination. Each remote location has a special 3-letter combination associated with it. Simply click to rotate each dial clockwise to select the teleport combo and then click "Teleport to this location" to finish.
There are currently 36 different combinations (+1 one-way teleport to Zanaris south-west of the Ectofuntus temple). Note that some rings require completion of certain quests to use (besides the Fairy Tale quests and their requirements).
