Aug 17, 2019 Ellenwitch Recommended This was a great OVA to really dive into a character more than we had seen previously, but hadn't focused an entire episode around them. Which is nice to see. It's always great for anime to give something like that. General care and focus on a character(s) so you can dig deeper into them in general. As for how it went? It was solid, like how the rest of the anime has been so far. I'd highly recommend giving this a watch! It almost feels like any other episode than a OVA. Really fits into the show completely. We see Kunikida with his plans for the day and how they get messed up, I really enjoyed it. The planning that he does, his goals and ideas. Makes me want to see the movie apparently coming up soon more, and the next season. I enjoyed it a lot, not much to say without spoilers, but this is genuinely why I like this series. This review isn't gonna be all that long considering it's only one episode, but I'll be happy to tell you all what I think anyway. This is an OVA that focuses on Kunikida, which I think is very much needed as a part of the narrative of Bungou Stray Dogs. The main storyline doesn't focus much at all on his character, so getting this dedicated time for him is really nice. Mar 25, 2023 ArchangelEST Recommended Armed Detective Agency resident Idealist gets his own story arc to... tell us what we already know. Mostly redundant character exploration aside, if you're a fan of the show, it's a nice bonus episode to watch. We get a little bit more information about the detective agency which might be referenced further down the line, and the guest characters might make a re-appearance as well. We'll see. Not much else to say. It sticks to the same quality as the rest of the season, so it's nice on the eyes and ears. Give it a watch once you're done with the base 12 episodes of S2. Mar 26, 2023 renzpapunas Recommended A great episode centered around Kunikida-san. The story is about how he uphold his ideals and why he is deserving to be the next chief of the agency. Art and soundtrack is great as usual. The characters are great and still true to the series. I like Kunikida and I'm glad we had an episode for him. Did not like the villain that much though which is ok since this is only an OVA. Following kunikida-san's activities in this episode was fun. Great episode for an OVA.
