Ingredients

1 pkg. frozen rolls or 1 batch basic bread dough (from Dining On A Dime Vol 1)
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 cup nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen rolls, thaw rolls for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Cut the frozen rolls into quarters or if using bread dough, break into about 1-inch pieces.
  4. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts in the bottom of a greased bundt pan.
  5. Dip rolls in melted margarine, then in sugar mix.
  6. Layer rolls, then nuts, then more rolls, etc.
  7. Pour the remainder of the sugar mix and margarine over the rolls.
  8. Let rise in the refrigerator overnight.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°.
  10. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  11. When done, invert onto a plate or serving platter. Serves 6-8.

Overnight Refrigerator Pancakes Recipe

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110–115°)
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 cups flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
6 large eggs
4 cups (1 qt.) buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Combine the yeast, water and sugar. Let stand 5 minutes. Combine the remaining dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Combine the eggs, buttermilk and oil. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour in the egg mixture, stirring just until moistened.

Stir in the yeast mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

When you’re ready to use, mix the batter well. This can be stored 1 week in the refrigerator. This recipe can be cut in half. Makes 36 medium pancakes.

Never Fail Freezer Gingerbread Recipe

1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. each of salt, baking powder and baking soda
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves

Preheat oven to 350°.

Pour the boiling water over the shortening. Add the brown sugar, molasses and egg. Sift the remaining ingredients together and add to the liquids. Beat with an electric mixer.

Pour into a greased 8×8 inch pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.

If you want to freeze the gingerbread dough for later:

After mixing the gingerbread dough and placing it in the pan, freeze it. Then, when you’re ready to use it, place it in a cold oven while still frozen. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

1/2 cup butter

1 tsp. vanilla
dash of cinnamon

In a small saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat until smooth, stirring occasionally.

Pour the mixture onto large, greased jelly roll pan (18x13x1 inches). Spread around to cover the surface. Place 12 slices of bread in a single layer to cover the pan.

Mix the eggs, cream, salt, vanilla and cinnamon together. Spoon the mixture over each piece of bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°. Bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the pan and serve. If you won’t be serving this immediately, turn each slice of bread over. (This will prevent the bread from sticking to the bottom of the pan.)

Gingerbread Waffles Recipe

2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
2 eggs, separated
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Sift the dry ingredients together. Beat the egg whites to form soft peaks. Beat the egg yolks and add the other liquid ingredients.

Add the liquid ingredients to the dry, stirring quickly until the flour mixture is moistened. Fold in the egg whites.

Turn down the waffle iron temperature slightly and cook 1-2 minutes longer than plain waffles. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 5 servings.

This tasty blueberry brunch coffee cake recipe makes a delicious make ahead breakfast item. Since you can make this recipe the night before you need it, it’s perfect to serve to overnight guests or on a special holiday morning!

Blueberry Brunch Coffee Cake Recipe

1 loaf (1 lb.) day old French bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 1/2 cups blueberries
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
8 eggs
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/3 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup maple syrup

Place half of the bread cubes into a greased shallow 3 qt. baking dish.

Mix the remaining ingredients together in a large bowl in order, mixing well.

Pour half of the cream cheese mixture onto the bread cubes and mix.

Top with the rest of the bread. Finish off with the remaining cream cheese mixture and mix. Cover and chill overnight.

Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Cover the coffee cake and bake for 30 minutes.

Uncover and bake 20-25 minutes longer or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serve with blueberries and syrup.
